For 61 years, Marc Joseph DeNovellis brought a smile to anyone and everyone who came into contact with him. He was friendly, outgoing, courteous, conversational, funny and artistic. Deeply rooted in faith and family, Marc had a gift of connecting with people of all ages and color.
From a creative artist and inspiring art teacher, to an imaginative and engaging DJ, Marc’s passion for art and music carried him to every corner of Connecticut. His works included paintings, illustrations, prints, sculpture and photography. He notably had a passion for drawing the human form in the tradition of classical Renaissance artists such as Michelangelo and Rembrandt.
Marc earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in Art and Design Education, and his Master’s of Science in Art Education from Central Connecticut University. His artwork was showcased at a number of art galleries in the Greater Hartford area.
In September 2018, Marc was honored to receive the Courage Award from the Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance in recognition of his positivity and perseverance.
